The old style Edison screw-in fuses are not only obsolete to meet
today's needs, but insurance companies are requiring breaker
style panels of at least 100 amps to replace the old 60 amp Edison
range and main fuse panels.  Merely putting in a larger size fuse
is not the correct way to go and can cause electrical fires.  Circuits
are not able to be added if grounding is not proper.  If you have a
computer, you need proper grounding.  Without proper
grounding you may get a brown out which means not getting
proper electrical currents.  You'll still have 120 voltage but no
proper grounding.
A dedicated circuit is needed for a computer much like a dedicated
circuit is needed for a washing machine.  Having a dedicated
circuit will stop interferences with other electrical appliances.  In
the household any motorized appliance such as microwaves,
radios, hairdryers, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators and washing
machines will cause interferences to a computer if you don't have
a dedicated circuit.
